What we change in Windsor primary baths
The most common request we hear in Windsor is to lose the tub deck and gain a real shower: larger, low- or zero-threshold, with a bench, niche, and proper waterproofing behind the tile. Vanities get more storage and better lighting, and toilets often move into their own room.
Behind the walls, we replace the builder's ventilation with a correctly sized fan ducted to the exterior. Windsor's basement-and-bath guidance requires bath fans to vent outside and not terminate within three feet of an opening into the house (Town of Windsor handout). Poor ventilation is the root of most mold and peeling-paint problems we find in bathrooms.
§ 02
Waterproofing and tile done right
A tile shower is only as good as what's underneath it. We use sheet or liquid-applied waterproofing systems over the full shower, slope the floor to the drain, and flood-test before tile goes down. On curbless showers we recess the subfloor so the bathroom floor stays level into the shower.
Vanities, linen cabinets, and medicine cabinets are built in our own shop, so storage is sized to the room instead of a catalog.

Permits in Windsor
Moving or adding plumbing or electrical, or changing walls, requires a building permit in Windsor (Town of Windsor). Most primary bath remodels qualify. We prepare the drawings and manage the submittal and inspections. The Town's minimum clearances apply: 21 inches in front of the toilet, 15 inches from its centerline to a side wall, and showers of at least 900 square inches inside (Town of Windsor handout).

Cost and next steps
Every project is priced after a walk-through, but you don't have to guess at the range. Our bathroom remodel cost guide covers published Northern Colorado ranges, what drives cost, and where our projects land. See how we approach bathroom remodeling, or read more about building in Windsor.
